Rumblestrut is a small web development company from Kansas City, Missouri. Since 2004, it has worked with a variety of clients building websites, providing site maintenance, instruction, design, logos and content creation.
Many times, this is where small companies like this one will use we, our, or us to describe themselves. This isn't one of those times. Rumblestrut is owned and operated by Eric J. Gruber. I have a background in journalism and have spent much of my professional career working as a web developer in municipal government. Rumblestrut is my entrepreneural side. I realize there are others like me who use plural pronouns to describe their companies (and admit it can be difficult to avoid writing that way), I prefer to start my relationship with you being honest from the start.
I have worked as a web developer for Mid-America Regional Council, the City of Lawrence, City of Olathe and VML. In addition, I have written books on web development, co-authoring Learning Rails 3, and writing Coding with Coda, both for O'Reilly Media. And on occasion, I partner with other trusted, competent web developers and graphic arists to help you with your website needs.
Speaking of other developers, I love my local web developer community, and used to co-organize Lawrence Coders, a developer networking group in Lawrence, Kansas. You can find Lawrence Coders on Meetup.com. I actively partcipiate in developer Meetups around the Kansas City area.
Thanks for stopping by my site. Feel free to contact me. I'd love to hear from you.
